MOA, AMFA, MTTA mourn demise of Ch Birendra Singh

Manipur Olympic Association (MOA) on Wednesday expressed grief over the demise of Ch Birendra Singh, IAS (retd), former vice president of MOA and chef-de-mission of the 31st National Games 2001 (held in Punjab), who died on December 26, 3022.In its condolence message, the MOA said that it held an emergency meeting chaired by K Baruni Singh, vice president MOA, on Wednesday at the meeting hall of the Olympic Bhavan where the association members condoled the untimely demise of Ch Birendra Singh by observing a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The members also shared the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family, MOA added.
In a separate message, All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) expressed its deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Ch Birendra Singh and conveyed its condolences to his family members.
Manipur Table Tennis Association also condoled the demise of Ch Birendra Singh in its message wherein the association said that late Chungkham Birendra Singh was a good leader who had contributed to the development of table tennis in Manipur while expressing its condolences to the bereaved family.
