Religious programme in connection with Emoinu Eratpa to be held

Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) will be holding a 3-day religious procession in connection with the upcoming Emoinu festival dedicated to Emoinu, Goddess of wealth and prosperity which falls on January 3, 2022 .
LSTB in a press release informed that the religious procession will commenced from January 1, 2023 with a team of 50 representatives of LSTB which will spread awareness on the rituals and traditions associated with Emoinu festival at more than 15 different places across the State.
LSTB will also be organising Ima Emoinu Eratpa at temples of Ima Leimarel Sidabi and Lainingthou Sanamahi, Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham as well.
The places where the team of LSTB will be conducting Emoinu ritual programme includes Tangjeng, Chandon Pokpi, Chairel, Khullakpat, Chairel Mangjing Bazar, Napat (Pombikhok), Wangoo Ahallup Makha Leikai, Sandangkhong, Naodakhong, Thamnapokpi, Saiton, Torbung, Phousakhai etc.
During such programmes, special identity proofs will be distributed to those who have recently embraced Sanamahi faith and books which imparts knowledge on norms to be followed by a household which follows Sanamahism will also be distributed.
Meanwhile, Umanglai Kanba Apunba Lup (UKAL) in separate press release has informed that Emoinu Eratpa rituals will be held at the sacred site of Ima Emoinu located at Koubru Hills on January 3, 2023 .
The programme is being jointly organised by UKAL and Uttra Shanglen Sana Konung under the aegis of titular King and Rajya Sabha MP Leisemba Sanajaoba.
Representatives of various Laibung and organisations across the State and devotees of Ema Emoinu will take part in the said rituals along with the members of Thang-ta and devotees from Jiri and Cachar as well.
UKAL further informed that proper protective measures have been taken up in collaboration with the Medical and other Departments of the Government for the upcoming event.
