Mega Job Fair-2022 held

Imphal, December 28 2022:
A Model Career Centre for Imphal West was inaugurated at Employment Exchange Complex, Lamphelpat along with conduct of the 1st Mega Job Fair-2022 in the state on Wednesday.
The programme was attended by Skills, Labour, Employment and Entrepreneurship (SLEE) minister Heikham Dingo as chief guest, secretary B John Tlangtinkhuma as president and Employment additional director.

In his speech, minister Dingo said that the Employment Exchange offices in the state need to become model career centres, which can provide detailed information about job opportunities to the unemployed youth.
However, Employment Exchange, Imphal West (Model Career Centre, Imphal West) has remained unchanged till date.
Thus, he would be meeting with the staff of the office for resolving issues related to lacking infrastructure, staff and other facilities.
For the youth, Employment Exchange is important with regard to their future careers, he said, while urging for concerted efforts in making the Model Career Centre a success.
He also urged for assessing how the youth could benefit from the job fair organised on Wednesday.
In all, 37 private firm and companies based in the state set up stalls during the fair.
