Three-day Imoinu procession from Jan 1

Imphal, December 28 2022:
A 50-member team of Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) will conduct a procession carrying the message of Imoinu Ima in connection with Ima Imoinu Numit to be celebrated on the 12th day of Meetei lunar month Wakching, which corresponds to January 3, 2023.The procession, which will last for three days, will begin from Lainingthou Sanamahi temple at Haying Khongban Uphong Yum-pham.
Ihe procession and religious programmes will cover Tangjeng, Chandon Pokpi, Chairel, Khullakpat, Chairen Mangjin bazar, Napat (Pombikhok), Wangoo, Ahallup Makha Leikai, Sandangkhong, Naodakhong, Thamnapokpi, Saiton, Tor-bung and Phousakhai.
All the LSTB members, staff, priests (both male and female), Pena artistes and singers have been informed to report at Lainingthou Sanamahi temple by 7am on January 1, 2023 .
According to LSTB, the procession will cover 15 places where Imoinu Eratpa will be conducted and the procession team will perform cultural and traditional programmes apart from rituals at the sacred site of Ima Lei-marel Sidabi and Lainingthou Sanamahi at Haying Khongban Uphong Yumpham.
