All India Inter-SAI Karate Tourney : STC-Naharlagun on top with 20 medals as hosts Imphal stay third

STC-Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh are on top of the medal tally of the ongoing All India Inter-SAI Karate Tournament being hosted by SAI NERC Imphal at SAI-STC, Khuman Lampak with a total of 20 medals including 13 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.
Hosts SAI-STC Imphal are third with 4 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze medals as STC-Shillong are second with 15 medals- 5 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze.
STC-Aizawl are fourth with a total of 10 medals- 4 silver and 6 bronze.
The second day of the tournament saw the host unit racking up 4 gold and 4 silver medals.
S Toni won a gold medal for SAI-Imphal in the cadet boys kumite event for -52 kg.
The other players winning gold for SAI-Imphal are S Santosh (cadet boys kumite for -63 kg), Kh Madhusumita (cadet girls kumite -61 kg) and S Ronaldo (junior boys kumite -61 kg) .
W Lanchenba (cadet boys kumite : -57 kg), H Lanchenbi (cadet girls kumite : -54 kg), L Lucky (junior boys kumite : -55 kg) and N Bishwodiya (senior girls : -50 kg) in the meantime won the silver medals.
For STC-Naharlagun, Khyoda Talik (cadet boys kumite : -57 kg), Kutung Nampe (junior boys kumite : -55 kg), Laa Tara (senior boys kumite : -55 kg), Doni Neri (senior boys : -67 kg) and Yana Banga (senior girls kumite : -67 kg) bagged gold medals.
The same unit also bagged 4 silver and 3 bronze medals today.
STC-Shillong also added 5 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal today.
Players winning gold medals for the unit are- Inlumlang Skhemiew (cadet girls kumite : -42 kg), Daphisha Shadap (cadet girls kumite : -47 kg), Adeline Shokhlet (cadet girls kumite : -54 kg), Mrinmoy Dewgharia (junior boys kumite : -50 kg) and Angkita Rajbangshi (junior girls kumite : -59 kg) .
The Tournament will conclude tomorrow.
