YWC-L emerge winners of S Tombi Memorial 4th U-14 Girls Inter Club Tournament

The Young Welfare Club (YWC)-L consolidated themselves in the top spot to seal the title of the S Tombi Memorial 4th U-14 Girls Inter Club Tournament 2022-23 with a 11 -0 demolition of Wangoi Football Association (WAFA), Wangoi for the 5th straight victory at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
Sorokhaibam Silky and Loukrakpam Seityamala Devi scored a treble apiece to inspire YWC-L the huge victory today against WAFA who are winless in 5 games as Julan Nongmaithem and Hoinuzem netted twice and Wairokpam Diana managed one.
YWC started on a bright note and banged in 5 goals before the break and pumped in four 6 more goals in the latter half for the 5th win on the trot.
It was S Silky who opened the scoring in the 8th minute before scoring her second 5 minutes later.
L Seityamala then carried forward the scoring spree by adding twice back to back in the 19th and the 21st minutes before W Daina scored the fifth goal.
After the break.
Silky completed her treble in the 51st minute before substitute Hoinuzem made it 7-0 with her first goal in the 55th minute.
Seityamala too found her third in the 58 th minute to make it 8-0 before Hoinuzem scored her second in the 63rd minute.
Julan Nongmaithem then netted a brace (65', 66') to complete the 11-0 demolition of WAFA.
Later in the day, FC Imphal routed Women Football Academy 3-0 for the fourth win in as many as five matches thanks to goals from Salam Anjulika (1', 40+1') and Lhingboichong Khongsai (58').With this win, FC Imphal finished second.
Later in the day, Youth Welfare Club (YWC)-Thambalkhong thrashed ICSA-Irengbam 5-1 for the third win in five matches of the 6-team tournament.
Wairokpam Monika (10'), Lamneikim Haokip (40+5'j and Angom Inunganbi (40+9') scored to hand YWC-Th a comfortable 3-0 first half lead before Mangpineng Khongsai (52') and Huidrom Joyshini (58') added a goal each to make it 5-0 .
ICSA grabbed a consolation goal via Irom Priyadashini in the 66th minute.
