NSUC bans loud speaker, imposes student curfew

Naga Students' Union, Chandel (NSUC) has prohibited use of microphone or loudspeaker for all purposes in residential areas or near educational institutions in view of the ensuing secondary and higher secondary examinations.
In a release, NSUC assistant general secretary P Langhu stated that use of loudspeaker at social gatherings in the evening/night, or any kind of nuisance should be avoided in order to encourage students who are preparing for the said examinations.
It also appealed to the public to cooperate with the Union in the larger interest of the student community by imposing 'Students Curfew' from 6 pm to 6 am starting from Thursday till the examinations are over.
The Union cautioned that during the curfew, no student(s) would be allowed to come out from home and if anyone is found loitering around without valid reason, then they will be dealt with appropriately.
Moreover, selling of intoxicant products nearby educational institutions should be totally prohibited, it asserted.
The Union also advised the students to prepare for the examination.
