Kyoveio claims men's singles title at Senapati Badminton C'ship

Senapati, August 21 2022:
The 17th Senapati District Badminton Championship, 2022 which began on August 18 came to an end on Saturday.
Kyoveio bagged the men's open singles title while Charainai won the women's open singles event.
The closing ceremony of the championship was attended by Manohermayum Barish Sharma, state president BJYM Manipur Pradesh, as chief guest.
Barish in his speech said that he was excited to see one of the biggest badminton courts in Senapati and described players of the district as the pride of the state.
Kyoveio outplayed Wungmayo in the final of the men's open singles event to become the winner while Charainai beat Veronica to win the women's open singles title.
Charainai & Veronica defeated Julia & Doibina in the women's doubles final.
In the men's doubles final, Phyaziikho & Kyoveio beat Wungmayo & Pfoki while Phyavei & Veronica won the mixed doubles event after beating Paozii & Gracy.
On the other hand, Kaona Frank & Aveisou won the U13 doubles event while Pajianwibou & Lumsomi Shanglai were runners-up; Pfoki Liruna bagged the U15 boys singles event while Reipao Raomai was runner-up; Kaona Frank & Aveisou Peter bagged the U15 boys doubles title while Kathepri & Benson were runners-up; Reipao Raomai & Kalo Truman bagged the U17 boys event while Liidu Paotei & Pfoki Liruna were runners-up; Kalo Truman won the U19 boys singles title while Kyovei was runner-up; Liidu Paotei & Wungmayo Vashum won the U19 doubles event while Pfoki Liruna & Kyoveio were runners-up; RP Julia won beginners singles (girls) event while Deborah was runner-up; Rivio won the beginners singles (boys) event while Kathepri Tholu was runner-up, Paozii bagged the 25+ singles (boys) title while Monison Hriini was runner-up; Pfokrehrii bagged the 35+ men's singles title while A Kaisii was runner-up, Tennyson bagged the champion while Phyaziikho bagged the runners up in 40+ men's singles, Phyaziikho & Tennyson bagged the champion while James & Filler bagged the runners up in 40+ men's doubles, Heny Luny bagged the 40+ men's doubles title while PP Ronald were runners-up; Heny Luny & PP Ronald bagged the 45+ men's doubles title while Daniel Shangne & Heshu Choro were runners-up; PP Ronald bagged the in 50+ men's singles title while Athang was runner-up; Veipucho & Kennedy bagged the 50+ men's doubles title while Heny Luny & Solomon were runners-up; Veipucho bagged the 55+ men's singles title while RS Abel was runner-up; Veipucho & Kala Kale bagged the 55+ men's doubles while RS Abel & Kaohii were runners-up, RS Abel bagged the 60+ men's singles title while Hekhini was runner-up, RS Abel & Kaohii bagged the 60+ men's doubles title while Hekhini & Kala Kale were runners-up.
