GK competition held as part of Hunger Marchers Day

All Manipur Students Union (AMSU) organised General Knowledge Competition for students of class 8 to 10 at DM University campus, here on Sunday in relation with the upcoming 57th Hunger Marchers' Day observance.
Altogether, 2300 students from 100 different schools participated in the competition organised under the theme 'Know Your Manipur'.
Interacting with the media, AMSU vice-president Salam Open said that the competition was organised ahead of the annual Hunger Marchers' Day with the objective to promote the importance of general knowl edge among the students and increase their understanding of the state and its history.
The results will be declared on August 26 and prizes distributed during the AMSU's foundation day function to be held at DM University campus on August 28, he said.
Top three winners will get Rs 8000, Rs 7000 and Rs 6000 cash prizes respectively along with mementos and certificates.
There will also be consolation prizes of Rs 1000 each along with mementos and certificates for the 4th-to 10th position holders, he added.
