Music workshop for children concludes

The valedictory function of the 15 Days Children Music Workshop was held yesterday evening at Manipuri Jagoi Marup auditorium.
It is worth noting that the workshop was conducted by Rhythms of Manipur with the support of the Department of Art and Culture, GoM under 'Chief Ministergee Artistsingee Tengbang', as per a statement.
Eminent personalities, namely Budha Chingtham, art critic and president of Cultural Workers and Activists Forum (CWAF) Manipur; L Manibabu Singh, president of Rhythms of Manipur and G Dharmadas Sharma, Deputy Director, Art and Culture Department attended the closing function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
The main highlight of the closing function was a music performance showcased by workshop participants including six girls.
Altogether fifteen different artists from different parts of the State attended the workshop which started from August 16.Speaking at the function, Budha Chingtham lauded Rhythms of Manipur for organising the workshop which will positively impact the young minds through music.
The chief guest also mentioned the importance of music in maintaining good health and added that the music workshop will give an unusual experience to the children as well as their parents.
In his speech G Dharmadas Sharma highlighted the schemes of the State Government.
Delivering his presidential speech, L Manibabu lauded the State Government for supporting Rhythms of Manipur in conducting the children's music workshop.
RK Sanatomba Singh, secretary, Rhythms of Manipur also highlighted the important activities of the group in association with the State's Art and Culture Department during the last three decades.
Two officers of the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) Dimapur, invitees and parents of the workshop participants also attended the closing function.
Notably, Haobam Nisheshwor was the workshop director.
