BSF DIG meets family of Kirti Chakra awardee Paotinsat

Imphal, August 21 2022:
DIG of BSF Sector HQ CI (Ops) Dinesh Singh Rawat and commandant of 29th battalion BSF Sonam Chering visited Maphou Kuki village and interacted with the family members of late BSF sub-inspector Paotinsat Guite, who had been conferred Kirti Chakra, on Sunday.
During the interaction, the DIG informed the family members about the state government's initiative to be taken up in the name of the late SI and benefits of welfare schemes they can get.
Born on October 26, 1994 to Tongjang Guite and Veine Guite of Maphou Kuki village, Paotinsat Guite graduated in arts stream from DM College of Arts in 2015 .
After joining BSF, he graduated from BSF Academy, Tekanpur on March 9, 2019 and he was posted at 3 Bump Forward Post as platoon commander.
He thwarted an infiltration attempt by Pakistan Army on December 1, 2020 and made the ultimate sacrifice while saving the lives of his team.
He was conferred Kirti Chakra (Posthumous) during the Independence Day celebration 2022 in recognition of his sacrifice and service to the nation.
