10 new cases take caseload to 100

Imphal, August 21 2022:
The number of Covid-19 active cases in the state rose to 100 on Sunday as government bulletins reported two fatalities and 10 new positive cases from five districts out of 438 samples tested in the last 24 hours at 2.3 per cent test positivity rate.
The 10 fresh cases (9 males & 1 female) are residents of Imphal West (4), Imphal East (2), Churachandpur (1), Bishnupur (2) and Ukhrul (1) districts.
Sunday also reported four recoveries from home isolation.
Meanwhile, out of the 100 active cases, 61 are in home isolation.
The two patients who became the latest to succumb to the pandemic were from Chandel and Thoubal districts.
The pandemic has so far claimed 2143 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,39,609 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 26 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 55 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 146 D-type and 13 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 1113 vaccine doses administered on Saturday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,24,848, out of which 12,96,815 had received the second dose and 2,32,821 had taken the precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49749), Imphal East (3200.5), Thoubal (10285), Churachandpur (11242), Kangpokpi (3181), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9965), Senapati (2543), Ukhrul (3359), Kakching (6970), Chandel (2787), Noney (1172), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1051) and Pherzawl (476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (711), Imphal East (516), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
