Ranji Trophy : Manipur need 229 runs to win against Sikkim in Plate Group SF

Manipur need 229 runs to seal a victory against Sikkim in the semifinal of the Ranji Trophy Plate Group at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat.
Before stumps, Manipur knocked 108 runs with two wickets down in 41 overs in the second innings of Day 3 against Sikkim's 273 runs (83.5 overs).
While Sikkim made a total of 502 runs in both the innings, Manipur scored 274 so far and are 229 runs short to take home the win.
A major portion of runs for Sikkim in the innings was smashed by middle order batsman Sumit (168 runs off 164 deliveries) and other highest scorers of the team include Ashish Thapa (30 off 123 balls) and Lee Yong Lepcha (20 off 100 deliveries).
Yet again, the duo of Jotin Pheiroijam and Kishan Singha showcased their bowling prowess as they did most of the work and fell 9 wickets.
While Jotin clinched 5 wickets in 23.5 overs with an economy of 2.60, Kishan Singha dismissed 4 wickets in 35 overs with an economy of 2.20.Bikash Singh also took one wicket.
In the chase and before stumps, Manipur have made 108 runs in 41 overs with two wickets down - Ronald M (23 off 77 balls) and Bikash Singh (64 off 112 balls).
Langlonyanba M (not out) has knocked 16 runs so far off 57 deliveries.
The two wickets of Manipur were dismissed by Palzor and Anwesh.
