DMUPG students caution

Reacting to the statement of DM University teachers to suspend classes owing to issues between the teachers and administrators.
PG students of the University have called for the State Government's intervention in the matter, failing which a series of agitations will be launched.
This information was relayed by Lourembam Poireiton Meitei, PG student during a press conference held at DM College of Arts campus today.
Stating that as per UGC norms, the 1st and 3rd semester examinations for PG courses should be conducted by December and the 2nd and 4th semester examinations by June, he shared that in case of DM University the 1 st and 3rd semester session had not yet commenced, putting the academic career of the PG students in jeopardy.
He further claimed that they did not receive any positive response upon meeting with the Vice Chancellor of DM University in this regard.
Maintaining that this situation has caused distress among the students, he cautioned that the students will launch a series of intense agitations if the issue remains unresolved.
