19th Annual General Body Meeting of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship
Nemcha Kipgen highlights initiatives taken up by State Government for upliftment of budding entrepreneurs

Textiles, Commerce and Industries Minister Nemcha Kipgen today attended the 19th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) held at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.
She is also one of the members of the General Body of IIE.
The meeting was cochaired by the Union Minister Dharmendra, 19th Annual General Body Meeting Pradhan, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (SDE) and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region (DoNER) During the meeting, Nemcha Kipgen highlighted the initiatives taken up by Chief Minister N Biren Singh for the upliftment of the budding entrepreneurs of the State by introducing the Manipur Startup Scheme and various others assured support for the youths to set up new enterprises through such programmes.
She further maintained that for growth of entrepreneurship in the State, smooth and time bound decisions on statutory compliances, seamless access to incentives and network of support for access to appropriate technology and a facilitative State apparatus are needed.
With regards to the above, she enlisted the measures to be taken up which includes establishment of industrial estate in the remaining ten districts of Manipur along with a second one at Imphal West.
A proposal has been raised for a mega industrial park at Jiribam district and support for the gateway city is being developed by the Urban Development Department, she added.
She continued that plans are underway to construct a multi model logistic park at Moreh and warehouses at all districts.
During the board meeting, annual reports for the financial year 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21 were placed before the General body members for ratification and Annual report 2021-22 for adoption; various activities namely number of training programmes, participants and revenue, entrepreneurship and skill development programmes with the Ministries were reviewed amongst others.
Resident Commissioner, Manipur Bhawan, Delhi Devesh Deval also attended the meeting.
