SOREPA calls total shutdown on Jan 26
Source: The Sangai Express

Imphal, January 19 2023: The Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA) Kangleipak has called a total shutdown in Kangleipak from 1 am to 6 pm on January 26, the Republic Day of India.

In a statement issued by its publicity secretary MC Yaiphabi, the outfit conveyed support to any general strike, total shutdown, boycott etc called by revolutionary groups of WESEA including Kangleipak and Kashmir on January 26.Some black sheep of the land in collusion with some Indian leaders have been working hard to distort the history of Kangleipak and consolidate the alien rule, it alleged.

The SOREPA said that the political contradiction between India and Kangleipak will only sharpen in corresponding degree to the efforts aimed at distorting the history of Kangleipak.

Only those Indian leaders who believe cow dung and cow urine can fight off coronavirus can claim that Kangleipak is the Manipur of Mahabharat, it said.

It alleged that Kangleipak was forcibly merged into the Indian Union based on fabricated history.

India took control of Kangleipak without much difficulty after first enslaving the mind and outlook of Kanglei people.

By using the Ramayan and the Mahabharat, Indian leaders have been working consistently to distort the histories and identities of the indigenous peoples of WESEA including Ahom, Boro, Dimasa, Kok-Borok, Kamtapur, Adi, Mising etc, it alleged.

Racial adulteration by way of raping women started since the days of Ramayan and the same is being perpetrated in Kashmir and WESEA, the outfit alleged.

It said that India did not annex Kangleipak by using military force but by enslaving the minds of the people.

'Settlers colonialism' is a very powerful form of colonialism which can exterminate an entire indigenous community.

For the colonisers, this form of colonialism proved to be a huge success in America, Africa and Australia.

It was through settler colonialism that the white Europeans took control of these lands after exterminating the native people, it said.

It went on to allege that the Hindu Aryans of India have been actively perpetrating the same form of colonialism in South Asia and Western South East Asia (WESEA).

Sikkim was forcibly merged into the Indian Union only after the population of Hindu Nepalese outnumbered the indigenous population.

Likewise, Tripura has fallen into the hands of settler Bengalis.

In the same fashion, settler Indians have been steadily dominating the remaining States of WESEA.

Intellectuals as well as scholars need to study the relationship between settler colonialism and the alleged Indian colonialism so that all the people can take up necessary precautionary measures, the statement continued.

"Even if we somehow manage to end the Indian occupation of Kangleipak, we will again become slaves of another country if we let the particular country influence our minds and outlook.

There is an intrinsic relation between freedom of mind and freedom of a Nation", it asserted.

It said that the independence of Kangleipak can never be regained by begging but it should be wrested through force.

It alleged that those people who are calling to the revolutionaries to come back to the 'mainstream' are nothing but political clowns.

They call waging liberation movement using swords, guns and bombs as violence, it remarked.

It then asked what would they call massacre of innocent civilians by Indian military forces, killing of people in fake encounters and raping women at gun point and engineering involuntary disappearances.

Waging armed revolution in order to restore the independence of a colonised Nation is sanctioned by the United Nations and international law, it asserted.

India should not forget that it is culpable for committing violence against the people of Kangleipak and WESEA, it said.

The SOREPA said that violence will disappear once the Indian military forces leave WESEA including Kangleipak and stop their oppression of Kashmiri people.

Saying that all the surrender events are theatrical presentations, the outfit said that the revolutionary groups of the land would carry on the movement until Kangleipak achieves independence.

It then called upon all the revolutionary groups of Kangleipak and WESEA to wage a unified struggle in order to defeat the common adversary.

There may be different ideologies/principles but the destination is one and the same, it said.

Saying that there is no reason for the people of Kangleipak to join the Indian Republic Day celebration, the SOREPA called upon all the people to boycott the event.

However, media, medical services, emergency services, water supply and religious functions would be exempted from the purview of the total shutdown, it added.
