RBCC's Women Conference continues

The third day of the 5th Women Conference of Rongmei Baptist Churches Council (RBCC) was held today with a number of activities in colourfull Rongmei traditional attire.
Tamenglong AC MLA, Janghemlung Panmei and Deputy Commissioner Noney, Joseph Pauline Kamson grace the event as special guest.
At the event, the dignitaries elaborated on the roles & responsibilities of women in the family and society.
They also extended their warm wishes to all the women delegates coming from different States, villages and Churches to participate in the conference.
As part of the event, a seminar was also conducted on the topic, "Physical & mental health".
Dr Gracy Majachunglu, CMO Tamenglong and Dr Jenny Gonmei, Gynecologist Tamenglong District Hospital took part in the seminar as resource persons.
During the seminar, the resource persons enlightened the participants on various diseases caused by consumption of drugs especially in women, breast cancer, womb cancer, diabetes, blood pressure, menstrual hygiene, etc.
A Group-B Choir Song Competition was also held in the noon session.
Moreover, COB Gaidimjang, Noney Battalion of Jwalamukhi Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (East) organised a medical check-up camp at Khoupum valley on January 19, 2023 .
The camp was conducted with the aim to provide medical assistance to the women present in the 5th Women Conference and strengthen the bond & trust with Security Forces, said a release issued by HQ IGAR(E).
True to the spirit of the mega event, the medical camp was organised by all female staff including one ARMO, 6 Rifle women and 2 civilian doctors.
The medical check-up was carried out for basic healthcare issues and ailments like Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Fever, Cold, Eye infection, skin infections, respiratory illness, etc.
During the camp, the doctors also gave awareness on various guidelines and schemes like CM's Health For All scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna, etc.
Free medicines were also distributed to the locals based on the prescription of doctors during the event.
A total of 380 persons benefited from the camp.
Organising Committee, 5th Women Conference and Women Association (Lup Phuwam) of Khoupum expressed their sincere gratitude to Assam Rifles for organising the medical camp.
