Manipur overwhelmed Meghalaya by 8 wickets at MCA Cricket ground for the third victory after a loss and a draw to finish third in the Ranji Trophy Plate Group league round standings and qualify for semi-finals.
Picking up the innings (second) from 12/1 in 3 overs, Manipur chased down the 29 run target in 6 overs courtesy B Rahman (14 not out) and Priyojit K (2 not out) .
Manipur who lost Kamajit for 3-ball duck yesterday saw Ronald M dismissed by Savert off Dippu catch in the 3rd delivery of the 7th over today.
It was the third memorable win for Manipur who are without any guest players after thrashing Arunachal Pradesh by 8 wickets and an innings and 36 run victory against Mizoram.
Earlier in the opening tie, Manipur lost by 8 wickets to Sikkim and drew Bihar who enjoyed the first innings lead.
L Kishan Singha who returned with match's bowling figures of 8/45 (6/18 in 13.1 overs and 2 for 27 in 12 overs) was adjudged man of the match.
Manipur will play second placed Sikkim in the Plate Group semi-final likely in Surat from January 17 .
