National Youth Day 2023 observed at various places

As observed across the country, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Bishnupur in association with New Life Foundation Manipur today celebrated National Youth Day at L Mani Memorial Training Hall to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
It was attended by Asem Chanu Vellorpati, assistant professor Mangolnganbi College Ningthoukhong; Dr Y Modhu, retired associate professor Moirang College; Dr Lamabam Pishak, Director, Child Line Bishnupur and Akash Satpute, primary member of ABVP as presidium members.
During the event, the dignitaries and experts delivered lectures on the topics, "Life history of Swami Vivekananda", "Role of youth in Nation building", "Challenges of Nation building", "Youth against drugs", etc.
Similarly, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Thoubal & NYK Chandel also observed National Youth Day at CEO ZP Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Thoubal and Auditorium of St Peters Hr Sec School, Monsang Pantha Chandel respectively.
As part of the observance, a 3-days training programme in Youth Leadership & Community Development (TYLCD) of NYK Thoubal was also launched.
It was attended by Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash Singh; Dr Maibam Nodiyachand Singh, Associate Professor & NSS coordinator MU and Michael Thangminlien Mate, DYO NYK Thoubal as presidium members.
National player I Premeshori Devi and T Rameshor Singh, National Awardee also took part in the event as Youth Icon Invitee and resource person respectively.
During the event, the participants and dignitaries paid floral tributes to a portrait of Swami Vivekananda.
A Subhash Singh led the gathering in taking the youth pledge and handed over the Outstanding Youth Club (AOYC) 2022-23 of NYK Thoubal award to Salungpham Youth Association (SYA).
Meanwhile, the National Youth Day observation of NYK Chandel was graced by Rev Fr Augustine, asst Parish Priest, St Peter HSS; Rev Sis Rosin, headmistress, St Peter HSS; Michael Mate; N Chandrakumar, programme manager Piramal Foundation; SH Promsing, asst teacher, St Peter HSS and PS Blessing Anal, asst teacher, St Peter HSS as presidium members.
Michael Mate led the gathering in taking the youth pledge.
Moreover, on the occasion of National Youth Day, Unified Rural Development Organisation Kairembikhok in association with College of Social Work Meitram and Blood Bank & Transfusion Unit District Hospital Thoubal today organised a 1 -day blood donation camp cum awareness programme under the theme, "Save a Life, Give Blood" at the office premises of Unified Rural Development Organisation in Kairembikhok Awang Leikai.
A total of 20 persons donated their blood during the camp.
