AIFF invites bids for I-League

The All India Football Federation has invited bids for new clubs to be part of the I-League.
The winning bidders will be granted the right to own and operate a new club which will compete in I League in each year from 2014 and will have the opportunity (if applicable and subject to qualification) to compete in the AFC Club competitions.
The new initiative has been taken up as part of the endeavour to broadbase the game of football across the country and therefore preference may be given to bidders of new clubs willing to field teams in the I League and non I-League cities at the discretion of AIFF.
The invitation to tender contains details of how bids may be submitted.
The invitation to tender can be acquired on any working day between 10 am and 5 pm on any working day from May 6 at the All India Football Federation office, Football House, Sector-19, Phase-1, Dwarka, New Delhi on payment of Rs 2,00,000.00 (non-refundable and no adjustable) by demand draft, pay order (both payable at New Delhi) favouring All India Football Federation or by NEFT/RTGS.
Bank details will be provided upon request.
Bids must be submitted on or before 5 pm IST on June 2.The pre-bid meeting will be organised on May 15 and all bidders will be informed separately about the schedule and venue of pre-bid meeting.
The winning bids will be announced in the manner set out in the invitation to tender.
AIFF reserves the right at its discretion to cancel or amend the entire bidding process at any stage and to reject any and all bids without providing any reason.
Merely buying invitation to tender does not entitle the purchaser to bid.
