Japanese Hospital would facilitate medical policy & economy in State: Rajen Ayangba

The establishment of the Japanese Hospital Manipur was initiated with an aim to facilitate medical policy and economy in the State, President of Japanese Hospital Manipur Rajen Ayangba has stated.
Talking to Hueiyen Lanpao, Rajen Ayangba said that Political Affairs Minister of Japan, Noky Ito had already laid foundation laying stone for setting up of the hospital at Khabeisoi and the Central Government had given the clearance.
Setting up of the hospital could prove to be a milestone in health sector of the State.
He observed that other northeastern States and neighboring country Myanmar will be showing keen interest in the hospital once it starts functioning full-fledged and added that there will also be certain medical facilities for poor people of the State in the hospital as well.
Informing that around five-ten thousands unemployed youths of the State will be provided various jobs in 1500 bedded hospital, he announced that the Japanese government will sanction an amount of Rs 3 crore as first phase installment for the hospital once it completes three years of functioning.
''For availing the sanction amount, some helps from the State Government especially in the form of monetary assistance is needed to kick-start functioning of the hospital as the Japanese government is waiting only for initial functioning of the hospital'', he pointed out.
He also exuded confidence that a slew of medical problems faced by poor and needy people of the State while treating in private clinics will be solved to a large extent once the existence of Japanese Hospital Manipur becomes a reality.
