Reacting to the news report about likely delay of RIMS staff's salaries due to budgetary allocation cut down, the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) authority today clarified that there is delay for some days in salary payment in May every year due to the end of financial year and beginning of new one.
Due to this fact, there was a delay in salary payment for some days this time too.
All cheques relating to payment of salaries for all grades of employees had been signed and deposited in thee bank, said a clarification issued by RIMS authority.
There was no budget meeting as reported and no question was asked and clarifications sought from RIMS authority on any alleged irregularities on the payment of contractual employees, it clarified.
Though Rs 1 crore is the limit for single payment (excluding salary and wages) there is no such limit for further payments since all bills have to be cleared.
If there is any allegation in Dental College it is not related to the budget allocation.
The allocation of Rs 150 crore is Budget Estimate for the time being and it will be increased in the Revised Estimate.
It has never happened in any time in the past too that the budget demand alone is granted in the financial year, it further clarified.
