Puppetry stunt, says KYKL

Imphal, January 14 2023:
The proscribed KYKL has alleged that homecoming ceremonies managed by the State elite ruling class are political puppetry stunts.
Referring to the home-coming ceremony organised by the State Government on January 7, the outfit alleged that the 'drama' cast timid deserters from the ongoing freedom struggle and randomly selected individuals as surrenderors to please New Delhi.
Puppet Governments must serve the interests of their masters, or else they will lose power and position.
It is for this reason that the State should conduct such ceremonies to show the Centre that it is doing everything in its power to suppress the current national liberation movement, which is the ultimate goal of India, said a statement issued by the outfit's Publicity and Research Secretary A Yaiphaba.
Every Kanglei citizen should realize that the so-called homecoming ceremony will not bring either development or peace to the State.
Rather, it is a method used by the ruling elite to earn crores by selling national freedom to India, it alleged.
The homecoming ceremony represents nothing more than a pathetic effort by the State's ruling class to demonstrate their endorsement to the Delhi Mandarins in suppressing the people.
They did this only to further their own interests, not to serve the interests of the people, the outfit continued.
As for the 13 cadres of KYKL who took part in the homecoming ceremony, they are all timid deserters who fled the organization, leaving behind their historical responsibilities, it said.
Slavery was the choice they made over freedom and dignity, it added.
