Imphal, January 14 2023:
Langthabal MLA Karam Shyam has stated that joint contribution, regardless of age, is required for the betterment of society.
He made the statement during the felicitation function of three former students of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Canchipur, who passed the Manipur Civil Service Combined Competitive Examination 2016 (2022), held at the auditorium of the school on Saturday.
Speaking as chief guest of the function which was organised by the School Management Committee, Karam Shyam remarked that people need to monitor politics closely to prevent narrow minded politicians from ruining the future of the state and its students.
He continued that corruption is destroying the society and the state, and urged all government servants to avoid making wrong decisions under political influence, adding that the only way a politician can retaliate is through transfer-postings and nothing else.
The MLA then urged the students to regard their school as the temple of knowledge and work hard to become capable leaders in their future, while also maintaining respect and decorum towards their teachers.
He further called for staying away from drugs.
The function was also attended by Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School chairman, Pheiroijam Landhoni and AMUCO ex-president Ph Deban.
