Surrender ceremonies to please Delhi masters: KYKL

Imphal, January 14 2023:
The proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) has said that the state government has once again proved that it is nothing more than a 'puppet' of its Indian masters by staging yet another surrender drama on January 7, 2023 .
As has been the case many times, the drama cast timid deserters from the ongoing freedom struggle and randomly selected individuals as surrendered cadres to please the masters in Delhi, a KYKL statement issued by its publicity and research secretary A Yaiphaba said.
According to KYKL, puppet governments must serve the interests of their masters, or else they will lose power and position.
It is for this reason that the state should conduct such ceremonies to show to the centre that it is doing everything in its power to suppress the current national liberation movement, which is the ultimate goal of the 'colonial' rulers of India.
Here, one must not lose sight of the fact that it is the ruling class who benefit from Indian colonialism while the people suffer greatly.
Clearly, this explains why they sustain Indian colonialism.
Moreover, every Kanglei citizen should realise that the so-called 'Homecoming Ceremony' will not bring either development or peace to the state.
Rather, it is a method used by our ruling elite to gain wealth by selling national freedom to Indian colonial rulers.
In many ways, it is analogous to a servant bowing down to his/her master to gain sympathy and kindness and often referred to as slave morality by certain section of people.
Shamefully, the ruling elite refer to it as 'shrewd politics' within their circle.
Perhaps they call it shrewd politics because their power is entirely dependent on how well they serve their masters.
The slave morality referred to here places an emphasis on sympathy and kindness from the masters over dignity and independence.
Isn't this what we've seen in the ruling class of Manipur?, the KYKL questioned.
Therefore, the homecoming ceremony represents nothing more than a pathetic effort by the state s ruling class to demonstrate their endorsement to the Delhi Mandarins in colonising and suppressing Kanglei people.
They did this only to further their own interests, not to serve the interests of the people, it said.
The statement further clarified that the 13 cadres of KYKL included in the drama on January 7, 2023 were all timid deserters who fled the organisation, leaving behind their historical responsibilities.
Slavery was the choice they made over freedom and dignity, the outfit said while urging people of Manipur, especially the youth, to join the national liberation movement.
