Medical camp held, aid extended

Imphal, February 21 2022: Keithelmanbi Battalion of IGAR (S) organised a medical camp at Leirongthel village in Thoubal district on Monday as part of Op Sadbhavna.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the medical was organised to assist the villagers who have no access to basic healthcare services.

Medical team from Assam Rifles carried out the health checkup including dental checkup of 350 villagers from eight villages to assess their health status.

The medical camp ended with distribution of essential medicines to villagers, it added.

In another release, the PRO informed that Sajik Tampak Battalion of IGAR (S) extended life-saving medical assistance to a road accident victim at Khongtal in Chandel district on Saturday.

A resident of Khullmullen village while driving a truck, lost control of the vehicle which resulted overturning of the truck.

On receipt of the information, medical team of Assam Rifles from Khongtal Company Operating Base rushed to the accident site, extricated the driver and rendered emergency medical aid to stabilise his condition, the PRO said, adding that the person was later referred to Civil Hospital, Churachandpur for further treatment.
