44 Assam Rifles organises Urja Ka Amrit

44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR/IGAR (East) organised a musical evening to felicitate the COVID warriors from health department as a part of four-day celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
In a release, PRO (Defence) informed that a cultural extravaganza was organised showcasing the vivid culture of India as Urja Ka Mahotsav.
Number of medical specialists, doctors and associated staff from district hospital attended the celebration during which the medical professionals sang melodious songs and made the soldiers dance to their tunes.
The mesmerising military band display concluded the event with nationalist fervour in the air.
Acknowledging the efforts of the people of medical fraternity, who had to step out during the peak pandemic time for their work, the commandant Tamenglong Battalion said that any words of praise for these fighters would be less and it should be our duty to appreciate their help.
They ensured that, the common people stayed indoors and services reached at their doorsteps or authentic information was available to all immediately.
All their efforts need to be acknowledged and appreciated, the commandant stressed.
