Training on Amrit Mahotsav held

Imphal, March 11 2022:
A two-day special training programme on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav for schedule caste women workers began on Friday at Awang Sekmai Mayai Leikai community hall with retired Manipur police officer P Mallana Goud as chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Mallana appreciated the tireless efforts of DTNBWED for the development of unorganised workers and also stressed the need for enhancing the skills of workers for better and higher income.
Medical officer Dr Manju Devi, who also attended the event, emphasised on maintaining a healthy body and mind for achieving the goal of overall development while Khurkhul GP pradhan I Shanta highlighted various development schemes.
As a part of the training programme, the participants were informed about government social security schemes, financial literacy, digital payment, E-shram registration, Self Help Group income generation activities like Mushroom cultivation by resource persons.
A total of 40 unorganised sector workers are participating in the training programme.
