Covid-19 : 15 new cases

Imphal, March 11 2022:
The total number of Covid-19 active cases in the State has declined to 99 on Friday even as 15 fresh cases were detected.
According to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 10 people who were undergoing treatment for Covid-19 have been discharged from home isolation (8) and CCCs (2) during the last 24 hours as they have recovered from the viral infection.
Out of 880 people tested during the last 24 hours, 15 were confirmed positive which puts the daily positivity rate at 1.7 per cent.
The 15 positive cases belong to Imphal East (1), Imphal West (9), Bishnupur (1), Chandel (2) and Tamenglong (2) .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State now stands at 1,36,962 (general population 1,31,948 and Central security personnel 5,014).This figure includes 99 active cases (general population 95 and Central security personnel 4) and 1,34,747 recovered cases (general population 1,29,744 and Central security personnel 5,003) .
With no report of Covid related deaths during the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 2116 while the recovery rate as on Friday is 98.38 per cent.
A total of 163 D-type oxygen cylinders and 17 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
At present, 289 (out of 300) Covid beds are vacant at JNIMS and another 119 (out of 190) at RIMS.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 27,43,277 (first dose 15,20,417, second dose 11,60,419 and precautionary dose 62,441).Till March 10, 49.57 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.25 per cent has received the first dose.
