Interaction with villagers, orphanage children held

Imphal, February 16 2023:
To commemorate Presidency of India for G-20, Churachandpur Sector and Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) interacted with village chief and villagers of Karang Island in Bishnupur district on Thursday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that during the interaction with Churachandpur Sector Commander Brig Michael D'Souza along with Loktak Battalion commandant fishing nets were also distributed to Below Poverty Line families (BPL) and other essential commodities to villagers of Karang Island where basic elements are not available.
Commander Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles and commandant Loktak Battalion also interacted with Village Development Federation (VDF) during the distribution ceremony.
This is one of the numerous activities undertaken by the Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles to ensure well-being of the local populace and alleviate their hardships.
The initiative is an act of force multiplier to the organisation's thought of always standing to the motto of "Friends of the NE People".
Meanwhile, to motivate and guide the orphans in the Area of Responsibility, Loktak Battalion organised interaction and motivated the children of Sanga Monu Inn Orphanage at Churachandpur district on Thursday.
The Battalion also assured the children of regular interaction with them in times ahead.
