Training on ground water management held

Kakching, February 16 2023:
A tier-III training programme on ground water development and management practices was jointly organised by Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), North Eastern Region, Guwahati; Minor Irrigation Department, Manipur; and Alliance for Development Alternative Manipur (ADAM), Kakching at Angaan Ching Eco Park Kakching on Wednesday.
The inaugural function of the training programme was attended by minor irrigation chief engineer H Brojendro Singh, Central Ground Water Board, Guwahati director Suresh Chandra Kapil and Thambal Marik College principal Professor Kh Mohon Singh as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
The training programme which was attended by over 100 participants from different parts of the state had PHED Manipur retired geophysicist Dr K Rajen, project officer SO Manipur University Dr S Manichandra, department of forestry and environment, Manipur University faculty Dr RK Chingkhei as guest speakers while Central Ground Water Board, Guwahati scientists D Shing T Rajababu, D Khanikar, Dr S Somaren-dro, scientist C Shing Dr K Radhapyari, Chao Konseng Gogoi, Mophi Mili and Himangshu Kachari deliberated on different relevant topics as resource persons.
