Passing out parade conducted, five awarded

Imphal, April 10 2023:
Subsidiary Training Centre of BSF headquartered in Churachandpur district conducted the passing out-cum-attestation parade of 158 recruits of constable (tradesman/batch no.240) at its Satish Yadav Parade Ground on Monday.
As a part of the programme, five trainee constables namely (SK) Mintu Ray of 142 Bn BSF was awarded medal for all round performance in indoor and outdoor activities, (CK) Lucky Baliar Singh of 2 Bn overall 2nd best in indoor and outdoor activities, (BB) Dipu Sonowal of 142 Bn best in drill, (WC) Narayan Parida of 102 Bn best in firing and (WC) Abhishek Singh of 100 Bn BSF awarded the medal for best in endurance.
The parade was reviewed by STC/BSF inspector general Umesh Kumar Nayal as chief guest and Arjuna Awardee boxer Laishram Sarita Devi as guest of honour.
During the 44-week course the recruits were trained in physical training, weapon handling, firing, drill, border management, law, internal security, map reading, intelligence, human rights, etc.
The passed out recruits will join their respective Battalions in all frontline duties.
Delivering address as the chief guest, Umesh Nayal congratulated the recruits and their parents on successful completion of training and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He calledupon the recruits to serve the nation with all sincerity and integrity and also appreciated the team of instructors and staff for achieving high standards of training.
While highlighting to new recruits about the rich histo ry of BSF as the largest border guarding force of the world, he emphasised that training is a continuous process.
Assistant commandant Gul shan Kumar administered oath of service to the Nation and loyalty to the 158 recruits as part of the event.
