JCI continues selfless work with blood donation camp

Imphal, April 10 2023:
A voluntary blood donation camp was held today at Dharmasala, Thangal Keithel organised by JCI (Junior Chamber International) Imphal Iconics in association with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) .
Speaking at the blood donation camp which was held on the theme 'Give Someone a Second Chance at Life', Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency MLA, Khumuk- cham Joykisan said that the camp has been organised to help meet the blood demand at times of need.
The MLA further enumerated the philanthropic activities carried out by JCI Imphal Iconics within a short span of around three years.

Lauding their significant contributions, he recalled the aid extended by the organisation during the tough times of COVID-19 pandemic by donating essential and edible items to Covid Care Centres across the State.
Notably, JCI has also been working for the welfare of the differently abled persons by distributing free wheelchairs and hearing aids, he added.
Regarding the developmental works of JCI which are in the pipeline, Joykisan said that the construction of a public toilet facility at Kangjabi is underway and is most likely to be completed by June this year.
To promote the well-being of women, free sanitary pads have also been distributed to women folk of Ima Keithel, he said.
Lastly he appealed to all to extend support and cooperation to JCI in their philanthropic activities in the interest of all.
Speaking at the occasion, JCI Imphal Iconics president JC Lata Jain thanked the blood donors and added that their noble gesture will help in saving many precious lives.
She also extended gratitude to Khumukcham Joykisan for his enormous support towards the activities of JCI.
JCI Imphal Iconics Secretary JC Deepika Jain; Treasurer Suman Jain and Chairperson Sheetal Jain were also present at the occasion.
