Imphal, April 10 2023:
Stating that he has realised mistakes committed against other communities through his 'preaching', Takhellambam Ramananda has tendered a written apology and begged forgiveness of the public.
In a written statement signed by him and countersigned and sealed by Reverend Angam Abon-mei, Ramananda said that as a Christian preacher he has been delivering the message of God since 1999 and in the process delivered some very offensive and blasphemous messages which have hurt the feelings and sentiments of other communities and religions including 'brothers' of SATJAL, Meitei-Pangal, Meetei and the people of Heirok.
"I consider myself guilty of all these acts and tender my sincere apology and beg forgiveness of all those who have been hurt by my words", he said.
Assuring that he would make sure no undesired issues recur, Ramananda in his written apology also sought forgiveness from all the communities settling in Manipur, if at all his speeches had hurt their feelings and sentiments.
Informing that he has no "Youtube" account and that the clippings shared on social media are being circulated by people out of love, Ramananda appealed to all concerned to remove the video clippings of his speeches from the social media.
