Punjab National Bank opens Kangpokpi branch

Kangpokpi, January 20 2023:
Punjab National Bank (PNB), the second largest Public Sector Bank (PSB) in the country, opened its new branch at Kangpokpi town on Friday Kangpokpi district deputy commissioner Kengoo Zuringla attending the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
The function was also attended by SP (Kangpokpi) Th Vikramjit Singh, Kangpokpi Town Committee (KTC) chairman Angam Leivon, PNB Imphal AGM circle head Manish Debbarma, chief manager S Steven Aimol, branch head Vahneimawi Sitlhou and other PNB officials.
PNB has been serving the people since 1895 and with the launching of its new branch in Kangpokpi, it now has 22 branches in Manipur.
Addressing the gathering, DC Zuringla expressed that operation of PNB branch in Kangpokpi will help realise the government's mission of financial inclusion and service to the public.
The DC pointed out that with the opening of PNB branch, the district now has a total of twelve different bank branches.
The first ten customers including one specially-abled person and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) beneficiaries were handed over the passbooks by the DC during the event while four individuals were handed over three-wheeler auto loans in-principle sanction letter by the SP Kangpokpi.
KSO Sadar Hills president Satminthang Kipgen, TSA Sadar Hills president Paominlun Lhouvum, KYU president HaOlet Khongsai, KWWO president Hekim Hangshing and members of KTC, among others also attended the event.
