Punjab National Bank branch opened at Kangpokpi

Kangpokpi, January 20 2023:
Punjab National Bank, the second largest Public Sector Bank (PSB) in the country opened its new branch at Kangpokpi today.
The Punjab National Bank Kangpokpi Branch was inaugurated by Kengoo Zuringla, Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi.
The inaugural function was also attended by the Superintendent of Police Kangpokpi, Th Vikramjit Singh; Kangpokpi Town Committee chairman, Angam Leivon; AGM Circle Head, PNB Circle Office Imphal, Manish Debbarma; Chief Manager, S Steven Aimol; Branch Head, Vahneimawi Sitlhou and other PNB officials.
The Punjab National Bank has been serving the people since 1895 and with the launching of its new branch in Kangpokpi, it now has 22 branches in Manipur.
During the inaugural ceremony, Kengoo Zuringla cut the ribbons and unveiled the inaugural plaque in the presence of other dignitaries before inspecting the new branch office.
The DC also cut the inaugural cake to mark the grand inauguration of the new branch.
Addressing the gathering, Kengoo Zuringla conveyed her gratitude to Punjab National Bank for opening a new branch at Kangpokpi while adding that with the coming of PNB branch in the district, the Government's mission of financial inclusion and service to the public would be more augmented.
"With the opening of a new Punjab National Bank branch office, there are 12 branches of different banks in the district now", she added.
Manish Debbarma expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government of Manipur, District Administration Kangpokpi, district police, various civil society organizations of the district and well-wishers for their support to the bank.
He also assured that the bank will always be ready to deliver its best services while adding that PNB is further expanding its presence in the State with a vision of reaching out to the unbanked areas.
He also informed that one Credit Camp is being organised at Kangpokpi jointly with the Bajaj Auto Dealer for financing three-wheeler Auto loans where four loans have been given an in-principle sanction letter.
The DC handed over passbooks to the first ten customers including one specially-abled person and KCC loan beneficiaries while the Superintendent of Police Kangpokpi distributed three-wheeler auto loans in-principle sanction letters to four individuals.
KSO Sadar Hills president, Satminthang Kipgen; TSA Sadar Hills president, Paominlun Lhouvum; KYU president, Haolet Khongsai; KWWO president, Hekim Hangshing and members of Kangpokpi Town Committee also attended the inaugural function.
