PM Modi's 'Exam Warriors' released

Chief minister N Biren on Friday released a revised and updated edition of the book 'Exam Warriors', written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the book will be beneficial for the students, parents and teachers.
Addressing the media in this regard at his Secretariat office, here, CM Biren said that in the book, the Prime Minister narrates about students being exam warriors instead of exam worriers.
The book will teach students how to face exams, he stated, adding that it is an effort to take exams in a fun way and lessen stress.
The PM has also expressed the need for the students to celebrate examinations like festivals and to create a stress-free environment for them, Biren conveyed.
In the book, PM Modi talks about students focusing more on their knowledge and not on stress or comparing themselves with others.
He (PM) also advises students against comparing themselves with others, time maintenance, outdoor activities, etc., while further highlighting the role and responsibilities of parents, teachers, guardians in not pressuring the children with expectations, the CM said.
On the other hand, the CM said that the government had convened two high level meetings to explore ways to resolve the water crisis that the state is facing.
Water from Thoubal Dam has reached Chingkhei Ching water reservoir and the water line will be further connected with Kangla water supply to address water shortage issue in Greater Imphal areas.
Besides, the government is in the process of arranging water tankers for distribution in areas where pipe water cannot reach, he said.
The government takes the issue of deforestation seriously as it is one of the most crucial issues of the state with implications in almost every sector.
In order to reverse the situation, the government will take up a mass tree plantation campaign with ABVP members and general public under Green Manipur Mission from March/April.
There are around 160 springs in several parts of the state and around 50 of them have dried up.
The mass tree plantation campaign will target these dried springs so that the natural springs could be revived, he added.
The press conference was also attended by Water Resources minister Awangbow Newmai, Education minister Th Basanta Kumar Singh, Education commissioner H Gyanprakash and Education (S) director L Nandakumar Singh.
