RBCC women's conference concludes

The closing day of the 5th Women Conference of Rongmei Baptist Churches Council (RBCC) was held on Friday with by AICC steering committee member & former deputy CM Gaikhangam attending as the chief guest, DoT, Manipur commissioner Mercina R Panmei as the guest of honour former ADC chairman and Namsinrei Panmei as the special guest.
The valedictory function had 40 churches taking part in the Choir Competition in Group (C) category.
Addressing the mammoth gathering, Gaikhangam said, "There have been many great changes in all aspects in our Rongmei society.
We are now entering a crucial stage, so we need faithful mothers' prayers to heal our land.
We should not compromise our faith and beliefs because of the worldly affairs rather we need a sacrificial spirit" .
He continued, "We the politicians/lawmakers are trying our best to make our district/land the most and advanced district in the state of Manipur" .
The chief guest also praised the women folks for their ceaseless prayers, saying that because of their tireless prayers, "we have now seen many great changes in our society" .
In the morning session, various resource persons spoke on the topic of social media and its impact while the evening session was marked by Rev Apila Thangal delivering a sermon on the topic 'new women in Christ' .
Prizes were also distributed to the best 3 winners and consolation prizes to all the 145 churches that participated in the singing competition.
Mention may be made that more than 15,000 women delegates from Assam, Nagaland and Manipur took part in the mega conference and had a blessed time.
The three-day event was organised by Women Department, RBCC under the theme "Godly Women in the Changing World" and was hosted by Khoupum Area Churches Fellowship (KACF) .
