Passing out parade of 238 constables held

Churachandpur, March 11 2022:
The passing out parade of 238 constables of the 234th Batch was held at Satish Chandra parade ground of Subsidiary Training Centre (STC), BSF Gangpimual on Friday.
ADG SDG (Eastern Command) BSF, Kolkata YB Khurania (IPS) attended the event as chief guest while Arjuna Awardee boxer Laishram Sarita Devi was present as guest of honour.
The parade was commanded by Constable Kuldeep Nagar.
Altogether, 238 new recruits, most of whom are from Rajasthan and West Bengal, had underwent a 44-week basic training, which included physical efficiency, weapon handling and firing, map reading, held engineering, border management, law and human rights.
The constables then took the pledge to serve the nation with sincerity, which was administered by Assistant Commandant T Douminlian.
Later, there was a BSF band display, which was followed by performance of Pung Cholom.
The event was also attended by SP (Churachandpur) Shiva nand Surve, DFO (Churachandpur) Esther Laltankim Serto and IB officer Th Soiminthang Simte, along with village chiefs, school principals and NCC cadets of Rayburn College and Hidden Valley.
At present, about 1000 constables are still undergoing training.
