AR installs flood lights, conducts friendly match

Keithelmanbi Battalion of IGAR (South) distributed and installed 10 flood lights at Janglenphai village football ground in Kangpokpi district on December 30 .
According to PRO IGAR (S), the village chief had approached Assam Rifles seeking assistance for the young talented football players in the village.
Thus, to promote Khe-lo India and tap the potential of the youth of the village, ten flood lights were procured and installed in the village football ground so as to enable night football practice.
The villagers expressed their sincere gratitude for the gesture.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a friendly volleyball match with Moltuk Youth Club in Chandel district on Monday to celebrate New Year and boost healthy practices of sportsmanship and team-spirit among the youth and student body of Chandel district.
Issues related to development, security and education were also discussed post-match in the interaction.
During the interaction with the youth, an array of events and development activities were discussed.
A total of 12 players and 125 spectators were present during the volleyball match.
Sports items were distributed and refreshment served to all participants and spectators.
