CM chairs meeting ahead of Amit Shah's visit

Chief minister N Biren on Monday chaired a meeting with ministers, MLAs and senior officials of the government to discuss the arrangements for union home minister Amit Shah's visit to the state on January 6 .
In a post on his social media handles, CM Biren informed that the meeting discussed arrangements regarding reception, security measures and other programmes in relation with Amit Shah's visit.
Amit Shah will arrive on January 6 during which he will inaugurate several projects worth Rs 300 crore including Churachandpur Medical College; Polo statue at Marjing; Manipur Olympian Park, Sangaithel; JNIMS Private Ward; Eastern Gate of Kangla; and Horticulture & Soil Conservation Department's Magfruit building at Nilakuthi along with hoisting the tricolour on the 165 feet tall flagpole located at INA complex, Moirang.
The Union minister will also hold a public meeting at Moirang during his tour.
Meanwhile, in connection with the ensuing inauguration of the Churachandpur Medical College by Amit Shah, the CMC director and his subordinate staffers are working on a war footing to clear any possible hassles.
Chief minister N Biren will be visiting the district to oversee the preparedness for the CMC inauguration ceremony as part of his programme to inaugurate an Open Gym at Tuibuong Peace Ground on Tuesday.
