Youth Festival organised in Chandel

As part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Chandel and Chandel district administration jointly organised district level Yuva Utsav (Youth Festival) cum launch of 'Clean India 2.0' at Chandel DC Office Complex on Saturday.
Chandel SP Hemant Pand-qy attended the programme as chief guest, NYK district youth officer (DYO) Michael Mate as president and EO to SDO Nimaichand and Elderline Manipur, project group CRM leader Tennyson Sialloa as the guests of honour.
Six competitive events namely Young Artists (Painting) , Young Writers (Poetry), Mobile Photography, Declamation, Cultural Festival (Group) and Yuva Sanivaad (Youth Convention) were organised as part of the festival.
Painting, Mobile Photography and Poetry competitions were held at different halls of Chandel Mini Secretariat with the participation of 90 youths while the Declamation Contest on the theme "India@2047" was participated by 20 youths.
In painting competition, H Hemmang Mate, Chantha Maku and Toshangring Maku were declared first, second and third position winners while Fairsena T Huten, Towarhring Nula Anal and Marina Langhu won the first, second and third prizes respectively in poetry competition.
Conrad Tongsin, Warkhungam Khumlo and Justin Dilbung were the first, second and third prize winners in Photography contest as BS Khilarhring, Tongsin Phowltha Anal and Rimnu Anal clinched the first, second and third prizes respectively in declamation competition.
Meanwhile Lambung Youth & Cultural Club, Aimol Cultural Troupe and Japhou Youth Club were declared winners of the first, second and third prizes respectively in cultural competition.
The top two winners of each event including Yuva Samvaad will represent Chandel district at the State Level Yuva Utsav.
