Churachandpur lawyers conduct cleanliness drive

Members of District Bar Association, Churachandpur organised a cleanliness drive at the premises of District and Sessions Court, Churachandpur on Thursday and cleaned the court building and campus.
Talking to this correspondent on the side-lines of the social work, Association functionary Grace Hoihnu informed that employees of legal services had to run helter-skelter in rendering their service due to lack of court building for a long time.
Judiciary department procured a sizeable land near the Autonomous District Council office building but PWD rejected occupation of the land after investigation.
As a result, a building at mini secretariat complex was made the temporary court for Chief Judicial, Magistrate and Judicial Magistrate First Class.
However, the One that is used for family court, special court (ND&PS) and district & sessions court earlier used by PWD highway division has been occupied by legal servants.
The building was renovated long time back and it is in dilapidating condition now, she said, adding that district legal servants are in dire need of a building from where impartial administration of justice could be done.
