Political conference for INC intending candidate held

Jiribam, December 13 2021:
A one-day political conference for Makakmayum Abas Khan, who is INC's intending candidate in Jiribam AC, was held at Yairolpok-pi football ground here on Monday.
The conference, which was organised by City District Youth Congress Committee (CDYCC), Jiribam, was attended by Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC) working president S Johny Meitei, general secretaries Md Jaffar Sharif and Mir Quashim MM (media panellist), CDYCC administration in-charge Md Abdul Hakim and CDYCC president Tondon Iromcha apart from intending candidate Abas Khan.
In his speech, Abas Khan highlighted that he has come out as a youth to contest the upcoming election with a firm resolve to uphold interest of the commoners and do something significant for the state.
He also promised to work towards bringing unity among the six indigenous communities settling in Jiribam AC.
According to Abas Khan, Jiribam is one of the most important border areas and there will be speedy development in the state when Jiribam is developed.
He also said that BJP has the ideology of 'one nation and one religion' and the party is unsuitable for Jiribam AC which is inhabited by different communities following different faiths.
In connection with the political conference, elderly men and women who took part were presented with winter cloths.
