State logs 2 pc TPR, zero Covid death

The State's Covid-19 death toll remains unchanged from yesterday at 1990 as there was no Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
However, out of 1,020 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, 20 were confirmed positive at RIMS (3) and other testing centres (17) .
According to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, the 20 persons who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (7), Imphal West (11), Bishnupur (1) and Senapati (1) .
Imphal East recorded the highest daily positivity rate of 3.7 per cent followed by Imphal West 3 per cent.
Following recovery, 23 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (5), RIMS (2), JNIMS (7) and CCCs (9) .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State has reached 1,25,535 (general population 1,21,102 and Central security personnel 4,433) .
This figure includes 325 active cases (general population 320 and Central security personnel 5) and 1,23,220 recovered cases (general population 1,18,797 and Central security personnel 4,423) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.16 per cent.
A total of 346 D-type oxygen cylinders and 77 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Taking into account 2,234 doses administered yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 22,36,856 (first dose 13,02,618 and second dose 9,34,238) .
Out of the State's total eligible population, 66.17 per cent has received the first dose of Covid vaccine till December 12 while 47.46 per cent has been given both the first and second doses.
