State logs zero death, 20 fresh cases

Imphal, December 13 2021:
The state on Monday reported zero death and 20 new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 1020 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus registering a positivity rate of 1.96 per cent against 1.54 per cent reported on Sunday.
The active caseload now stands at 325 out of which 60 (18.46 per cent) are in home isolation.
There is no updated information on bed availabil -ity in different hospitals and Covid care facilities.
Out of the 16 districts, only four reported fresh Covid cases on Monday with Imphal West reporting highest cases at 11.So far, the state has recorded 96,135 positive cases and 1616 fatalities since the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 330 new positive cases and 13 fatalities have been reported during the current month out of which 146 new cases and 5 fatalities were added in the last seven days alone.
According to official reports, all the 20 new positive cases (11 male & 9 female) are from among the general population and their samples were confirmed at RIMS (3) and other testing centres (17) .
The positive cases are from Imphal East (7), Imphal West (11), Bishnupur (1) and Senapati (1) .
In the last 24 hours, 23 patients were discharged from home isolation (5), RIMS (2), JNIMS (7) and CCCs (9) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,25,535 (general population - 1,21,102 and CAPF personnel - 4,433) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,23,220 (general population - 118,797 and CAPF personnel - 4,423) and number of active cases is 325 (general population - 320 and CAPF personnel - 5) .
The recovery rate is 98.16 per cent.
A total of 346 D-type and 77 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 2234 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated people in the state to 13,02,618 including 9,34,238 fully vaccinated persons.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (44,040), Imphal East (27,877), Thoubal (9484), Churachandpur (10,189), Kangpokpi (2788), Tamenglong (3284), Bishnupur (9225), Senapati (2249), Ukhrul (2998), Kakching (6448), Chandel (2361), Noney (1074), Tengnoupal (1077), Jiribam (1022), Kamjong (955) and Pherzawl (464) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (665), Imphal East (478), Thoubal (178), Churachan-dpur (162), Kangpokpi (62), Tamenglong (14), Bishnupur (193), Senapati (10), Ukhrul (44), Kakching (114), Chandel (41), Noney (4), Tengnoupal (13), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 40,456 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 24,791 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 4,63,375 tests per million population against the national average of 4,69,184 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.59 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 1020 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 1.96 per cent per cent while the cumulative positivity came down to 8.73 per cent.
