Imphal, March 17 2022:
CPI Manipur State Council has opined that the failure of selecting BJP leg islative party leader despite securing absolute majority with 32 seats is due of difference of opinions among the party leaders.
In a release, CPI MSC assistant secretary M Joykumar said that BJP has not been able to approach the Governor and stake claim for forming the new government in the state as it is still unable to name leader of the legislative party.
The main reason for it is there are no true leaders in BJP who could lead the state to move forward and compete with other states.
Recalling the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi against dynastic politics published in newspapers on March 15, M Joy-kumar said that people were sceptical about the non-appointment of former chief minister N Biren, who was lauded by central leaders frequently, as leader of the BJP legislative party till now because he (Biren) is now advocating family politics.
In such a scenario, appointment of the leader by national leaders despite having the magic number could not ensure a stable government.
BJP leaders will definitely camp for dethroning their new chief minister.
As such, it will hinder in governance and eventually cause troubles for people, he maintained.
