Imphal, October 12 2021:
Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee president N Mahananda has said that Congress party has nothing to comment about M Suresh who had personally explained his own comment in complete lack of principle and left the party merely for some money.
Addressing media persons Tuesday at Rishang Keishing Media Centre, Congress Bhawan, N Mahananda said it is the norms of democracy that anyone can leave a party on his/her own discretion and join another party.
However, it was quite surprising for a person (M Suresh) who was made media panellist by virtue of his talent despite not being enrolled as Congress party member to hurl allegation against Congress leaders soon after joining the BJP.
Suresh should understand who released him from jail after he was arrested for criticising the present government during a discussion on COVID-19 in a television channel very recently, Mahananda said adding that there were several instances of M Suresh begging for m6ney from Congress leaders and Youth Congress had also provided money to him when he faced financial problems.
M Suresh represented a political party during a political debate hosted by a television channel and it was not a debate held at college level, Mahananda said adding that it was surprising to hear him claiming to being threatened by someone after joining the BJP.
If Suresh's claim of facing threats since joining the new party happens to be true, why is BJP not filing FIR in this regard till date, Mahananda questioned adding that Youth Congress strongly believes that Suresh might had been threatened after being detained at an undisclosed location.
Youth Congress general secretary Bankimchandra Meitei, who also attended the press conference, said Mayanglambam Suresh is not a member of Youth Congress or Congress party but he was made media panellist of the party as part of promoting youth coupled with his approach in this regard to someone.
This is the answer to how far Congress party esteems the youth, Bankimchandra Meitei said while maintaining that it was quite surprising that M Suresh joined BJP one day after participating in a political debate representing another political party.
Suresh had gone to the place suited to him after showcasing hjs immorality personally and it is good for everyone that he joined a demoralised political party, Bankimchandra Meitei said and clarified that whatever allegation Suresh levelled against Congress leaders were baseless and malicious.
