Imphal, October 12 2021:
Stating that the Federation of Haomee (FoH) will no longer remain silent over outsiders coming and laying claim over the land, Federation president Sapamcha Jadumani has urged the state government to take up measures for checking influx of outsiders into the state.
He made the statement during the 4th Foundation Day celebration of the Federation at Amity Hall of Adimjati Shiksha Ashram, Ching-meirong here on Tuesday.
The celebration was attended by Federation Core Committee convenor RK Rajendro, co-convenor Sweeden Raihing and representatives of Yek Salai Haomee.
Jadurnani contended that the Federation has come across many outsiders who came to the state and laying claim over the land as their ancestral property.
Many have moved and settled down at Koubru and Thangjing hills and later claiming it to be their land.
To this, the Federation had filed a case in the court, apart from launching various movements on the same and will continue to do so in future, he affirmed and urged the state government to take advantage of the matter and initiate steps to implement a long term measure for checking influx of outsiders into the state.
As part of the foundation day celebration, various cultural performances were presented.
