International Day of the Girl Child celebrated

Imphal, October 12 2021: The NSS of Don Bosco College, (Autonomous) Maram organised a webinar to mark the day of the International Day of the Girl Child 2021 under the theme "Digital Generation, our Generation" yesterday.

John Britto, NSS Unit I Programme Officer welcomed everyone and introduced Ethel Sochanphi FMA, resource person to the participants of the webinar, said a statement by the college.

Speaking on the occasion Ethel Sochanphi exhorted all on the importance of updating oneself on the use of modern technologies for one can no longer manage to live without having access to digitalisation.

She said that be it use of mobile or internet, or computer without technology our life has become almost useless.

One can no longer remain resisting it.

If one has to live, he/she will have to cope with the digitalisation., she added.

She encouraged the girls who are the champions of love, sacrifice and courage to have a great determination to put more interest in accommodating themselves toward high-tech education in order to ensure continuity of learning during the covid-19 pandemic so as not to miss out on precious learning opportunities.

The webinar and the virtual celebrations of the International Day of the Girl Child concluded by taking a commitment each by all the participants through Google forms, added the statement.
